What is Nexus?

Nexus for FLL is an event management system designed for FLL events.

What can Nexus do?

The Nexus web app can be used by teams and volunteers to access a variety of event information.

Here are some examples of Nexus in action:

  • An event manager generates judging and robot game schedules
  • An judge fills out rubrics
  • A referee fills out scoresheets
  • A team views their judging & game schedule on the public dashboard
  • A team tracks the live event standings on the public leaderboard
  • An event manager sends completed rubrics and scoresheets to teams via email after the conclusion of the event

What are the requirements to use Nexus?

Nexus requires a reliable internet connection anywhere a volunteer or team will access it- near the field and in the pits. WiFi, cellular data and wired ethernet connections can all be used.

Any available hardware with a modern web browser can access the Nexus web app- smartphones, tablets, laptops, & TVs. Events may choose to provide their volunteers with dedicated devices, or volunteers can use their own.

A leaderboard display TV is optional and can be used to display real-time robot game rankings.
